The Minima Yacht Club is somewhat unique amongst the organizations associated with the sport. As its name implies, it is more particularly devoted to the interests of small vessels. It does not, however, confine its attention to any one class, or any particular series of classes. On the contrary, it extends its attentions to various types of craft in different districts. One special point in the constitution of the club is that it has several branches in different ports, as well as a very strong one ‘up-river’ at Kingston-on-Thames. The club was founded in 1889.
