James’ second voyage took him to Corfu, stopping at Cadiz, Gibraltar and Malta both on the way there and on the way back. During this voyage he comments on a ‘piratical vessel brought to Malta‘ and four of the pirates that ‘will shortly meet the fate they deserve‘ as well as an incident when the ship’s carpenter fell overboard.
