Journal of a Voyage from Falmouth to Halifax & Bermuda & back

James’ third voyage aboard the Duke of York was a trip to Halifax and Bermuda. During their 6 week sail to Halifax they encountered a furious gale and a very heavy swell, caught a porpoise and had a near miss with “an American bark”. Their stay in Halifax and Bermuda was just as eventful.
