Was born in 1877, and is a son of Mr. W. H. Dudley Ward. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, and called to the Bar in 1904.
Mr. Ward commenced his yachting experiences in 1890 with small-boat racing and sailing. His first yacht was the Matilda, 63 tons, followed by the Crimson Rambler, 43 tons, which he owns at the present time. He has done a considerable amount of cruising in the Mediterranean and home racing.
