Westminster, Second Duke of

Was  born in 1879, and educated at Eton. He served in the South African War, and was A.D.C. to Lord Roberts in 1899-1900.

He has been for some time interested in the cruising side of yachting, owning the auxiliary yawl Saxford, designed by Mr. M. Heckstall Smith and built by Messrs. Summers and Payne, and the steam yacht More Vane, 63 tons, built by Laird Bros. In 1906 he purchased from the executors of the late Mr. R. Sinclair Scott the fine screw schooner Grianaig, 439 tons. With this vessel he cruised in the Mediterranean and on the Western Coast or Scotland. He was elected a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron in 1906.
